7 Days Aberdare, Samburu, Nakuru & Mara Tour
Day 1: Nairobi drive to Aberdare
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and after going through the immigration processes, you will be met by our welcoming guide, who after introductions and a travel briefing; will assist you to board the vehicle for a transfer towards the day’s destination – The Aberdare National Park.
The scenes experienced on the way will dazzle you. One of these is the Del monte Pineapple Farm which strongly stands out for its attractive and natural beauty and stretches as far as the eye can manage to see! You will also stop at the Cascading Chania Water Falls.
You will arrive in time for late lunch at The Ark Game Lodge. The lodge is set in the heart of the Aberdare National Park; The Ark is a unique tree lodge that overlooks a floodlit waterhole and a saltlick which attracts a host of wildlife. Elephant, Rhino, Leopard, Bushbuck and occasionally an elusive Bongo and giant forest Hog has been sighted.

Day 2: Aberdare drive to Samburu
Breakfast at the lodge then drive to Samburu National Reserve.
This is one of the lesser-known national parks, but is nevertheless teeming with life. Situated alongside the Ewaso Nyiro River, there is plenty to attract wildlife from the surrounding savannah plains. The reserve is rich in wildlife with an abundance of rare northern specialist species such as the Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk and the beisa Oryx (also referred to as Samburu Special Five).
Arrive in time for lunch at Samburu Ashnil Tented Camp
Later you will have a game drive at Samburu Game Reserve and then back to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Samburu
- Have an early morning Game drive
- Return for breakfast.
- Freshen up and later a Midmorning Game Drive
- Have lunch and then spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure like swimming in the pool.
- More game drives in the evening in search of more animals.
- Dinner and overnight at the lodge
Day 4: Samburu drive to Nakuru
Breakfast at the lodge then drive to Lake Nakuru National Park .
Lake Nakuru houses Kenya’s first rhino sanctuary and one of the largest concentrations of black rhinoceros in the world a large population of white rhino. The park features the picturesque Malaika Waterfalls. Also of interest is an area of 188 km around the lake fenced off as a sanctuary to protect Rothschild giraffes. Among predators are lion, leopard and large pythons hiding in the dense woodlands which may occasionally be seen crossing roads or dangling from trees. Others game include Thomson’s and Grant gazelle, the long- eared leaf-nosed bat, colobus monkey, rock hyrax, hippo, and waterbuck; Impala, striped hyena, bat-eared fox, wildcat, reedbuck and golden cat. Afternoon game drive at Lake Nakuru National Park and later drive back to the camp/dinner for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru drive to Masai Mara
Breakfast at the lodge then drive to Masai Mara National Reserve.
You’ll embark on your very first game drive on your way to Camp, passing by herds of grazing impala or regal giraffes and perhaps even spotting your very first predator. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed at camp and after settling in, enjoy a hearty lunch amid the beautiful surroundings of the Masai Mara. Later in the afternoon, as the sun starts to sink towards the horizon, you’ll set off on your first exhilarating game drive. The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe. You will have the chance to enjoy the interaction of wild animals in this magnificent park, as well as search for the Big Five, you will see herds of plains game, spot many marvelous birds. Dinner and Overnight at your preferred camp or lodge.
Day 6: Masai Mara
Another full day spent in The Mara in search of popular residents like the well-known predators and their opponents like the Zebra, Wildebeest, Giraffe, Hippo and the dangerous Crocodiles with a visit to Mara river. Meals and overnight at your lodge/camp
Day 7: Early morning game drive and Return to Nairobi
On your last day, you’ll wake with the rising sun, hop your safari vehicle for an early morning game drive. This is a beautiful time of the day to experience the plains, as the animals wake with the rising sun.You’ll return to camp for breakfast, but this isn’t the end of your wildlife encounters. After bidding farewell to Maasai Mara team, the beautiful surroundings and inquisitive wildlife, you will enjoy the last leg of your Safari as you head back to Nairobi. With an incredible experience and loads of memories to cherish, our driver/guide will drop you off at your designated location in Nairobi.
