5 Day Gorillas Trekking and Wildlife Safari

The Mane Tours’ 5 Day Gorilla Trekking and Wildlife Safari takes you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for gorilla trekking. Also, you will go on a wildlife safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Queen Elizabeth National Park is understandably Uganda’s most popular tourist destination. The park’s diverse ecosystems, which include sprawling savanna, shady and humid forests, sparkling lakes and fertile wetlands make it the ideal habitat for classic big game, several types of monkeys, chimpanzees and over 600 species of birds.

DAY 1: Kampala – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (8-9 Hrs.)
The Mane Tours’ driver/guide will pick you up from your hotel in Kampala in the morning and drive to the biologically diverse and uniquely magnificent impenetrable rainforest in southwestern Uganda, which sustains almost half of the world’s mountain gorilla population. You will have a stopover in Kayabwe for photographs at the equator and souvenir shopping accompanied with a lunch in Mbarara town.

DAY 2:  Gorilla trekking – The great memorable experience
After an early breakfast and with a packed lunch, we will drive to the park headquarters for a briefing from the senior park ranger guide. At 8.30, you will set off for gorilla trekking in the impenetrable forest. A search for the habituated gorilla family is not predictable; you may take between two to eight hours searching for these apes within this dense forest. You are guaranteed one hour for observing and taking photographs of these beautiful apes.

DAY 3: Queen Elizabeth National Park (5 Hrs.)
After breakfast you will leave for a five hour drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will visit the Ishasha Sector of the park where you may have a chance to see tree climbing lions.

DAY 4: Game Drive and Boat Cruise
After an early breakfast, you will enjoy a game drive towards the Kasenyi plains where you will view various kinds of wildlife such as the Ugandan kob, elephants, leopard, lion, buffalos, warthogs and antelope. Later after lunch, you will embark on a boat cruise on the Kaziga channel. During this cruise you will get the chance to see aquatic animals like crocodiles, hippos and many bird species.

DAY 5: Kampala
After breakfast, we start the journey back to Kampala with a lunch stop in Mbarara and later another brief stop at the equator in case you need to buy a craft to take home. We will arrive in Kampala in the evening and you will be taken to your hotel or on to Entebbe for your departure flight to your next destination.
